Performance Features

Both designs contain a closed-back speaker, minimizing feedback with the microphone. This high-efficiency speaker provides improved voice intelligibility and a wider frequency response over conventional intercom door stations. The supersensitive microphone can pick up casual conversations from up to 20 feet away.

The DS1550 also includes a door latch relay. When used with additional equipment, this relay provides automatic door strike control from a touch-tone phone.
